The people that make up PFF meet once a week to prepare and distribute them are all dedicated to reducing hunger and other negative effects of poverty in Toronto. We are everyday people, incorporating community accountability into our lives.
We hold all neighbourhood members accountable, when people go hungry. It is uneccessary and we all have a call to action here to reduce the unequal distribution of resources in this city.
Hunger and homelessness are not "their" problems, it is your problem. It is our problem, that we should ALL be embarassed of. Contrary to popular belief among people far removed from the harsh realities of poverty, Toronto's social service and welfare systems SIMPLY CANNOT sustain the number of people forced to need them.
PARKDALE FOOD FRONT understands that people living on the streets are our neighbours and as such, deserve the same respect and courtesies we show our housed neighbours.
We are everyday people who give a damn and insist that you do too.
